Phone Dialer

You can use Phone Dialer to make telephone calls direct from your computer. You will, of course, need a modem, or another Windows telephony device. From the Tools menu you can set up all the necessary configuration, such as which line and address to connect through and specific details about the location you are dialing from. From the My Locations tab of the Dialing Properties dialog you can also set up any calling cards that you wish to use for long distance calls. Clicking on any of the Speed Dial buttons enables you to enter a name and number of the most frequent calls that you make. The name will then be displayed on the button as an easy reminder. A Call Log can also be maintained. This can be set up by choosing Show Log from the Tools menu. The Log Options then enables you to select whether you want incoming and/or outgoing calls logged.
